How Meghan Markle changed the destiny of this small jewellery brand?

Meghan

In the ever-evolving landscape of celebrity influence, Meghan Markle stands as a beacon of star power.

Meghan Markle’s star power isn’t just felt in Hollywood; it’s also reshaping the landscape for small businesses.

Now, a small jewellery brand is crediting Meghan Markle with putting them on the map and changing the entire course of their business. Her ability to sway trends and elevate brands has been showcased time and again, but perhaps nowhere is this more evident than in the story of Kimai, a small jewellery brand.

In the bustling world of fashion, standing out can be a daunting challenge, for emerging brands like Kimai. The London-based brand Kimai was fortunate enough to raise $1.2 million for their company after Meghan wore a pair of their ethical lab-grown diamond earrings.

The incredible story was proclaimed by co-founders Sidney Neuhaus and Jessica Warch in a recent episode of Dragons’ Deal, the U.K. version of Shark Tank. They founded their business “without investment” and convinced the then-royal family member to wear their earrings, which she bought for $845. It was a game-changer for Kimai as a brand after Meghan was snapped wearing the jewellery piece during a 2019 visit to a Smart Works charity event.

“I think for us as a young brand starting out it’s very hard to get out there, and her wearing our designs attracted people’s attention from a design perspective but also from a lab-grown diamond perspective,” Warch told Page Six Style, noting that “it was the first time royalty was seen wearing lab-grown diamonds.” The story of how the owners got Meghan to wear their 18k yellow gold Felicity Crawler earrings is just as fascinating.

“We believe in cold emails, and that’s how we got all our investors because we didn’t know anyone else in the space,” Warch said in their Dragons’ Deal pitch, as reported by Page Six. One of the show’s “dragons” Steven Bartlett, of Diary Of A CEO
podcast was impressed with their resilience and offered a whopping $ 316,000 investment in the duo.

Bartlett said that the story you told of hunting down Meghan was “the moment you captured my heart because that’s what it takes.” The Duchess of Sussex has continued to show her support for the brand, wearing a pair of half-hoop earrings to the Invictus games last fall.

Hollywood stars such as Emma Watson and Jessica Alba have also been seen wearing the stunning pieces. So, it looks like Meghan’s influence is not only going global, but it’s also having an impact financially. Thanks to Meghan Markle, this small jewellery brand has not only found its place in the spotlight but has also made a lasting impact on the industry as a whole.

What will Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle brand sell? Mats, vegan jelly and everything else

Meghan

In the arena of celebrity entrepreneurship, Meghan Markle has made waves with her upcoming lifestyle brand.

Meghan Markle’s mysterious lifestyle project, American Riviera Orchard, may include quite a range of products.

She’s already the Duchess of Sussex, but could Meghan Markle also have her eye on becoming Queen of Tasty Spreads and Dips? According to the trademark filing for her mysterious new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, the answer is not no. The original filing mentions cracker toppers of the fruit, legume, nut, oil, sesame, and garlic-based varieties, an absolute spreadable delight for your taste buds.

Meghan could also be placing herself to become your go-to supplier for tableware, cookbooks of the e- and printed varieties, coffee cups, decanters, table place card holders, tablecloths, and fabric gift wrap. After all, you can’t have a dip without a spoon, no?

But that’s not all. All of the above could plausibly fit in the same aisle of a bougie yet tasteful boutique. Not so much for more recent updates to the filings for the tri-named brand, which offers quite the spread (of the non-edible variety) of possible products.

Take a deep breath because this list is not a short one. Among many additional products, ARO could offer garden tools like hand trowels, decorative string lights, letter-openers and stationery, complete with embossers and seals, journals, cocktail napkins, washi tape, pet leashes and collars, tote bags, pillows for people and pets, plant seeds, soap, jewellery, dog beds, “decorative crystal prisms,” aromatherapy oil diffusers, kitchen tongs, empty glass jars, bird baths and feeders, beach towels, yoga mats, meditation cushions, holders for matches, bird seed, mayonnaise, and salad dressing.

So plausibly, American Riviera Orchard could supply you with everything you need to maintain a bullet journal detailing your day-to-day activities including walking your dog, watching birds enjoy your fairy-light strewn yard with hand-cultivated and lovingly tended plants, meditating near your lovely crystal (kept in a jar for vibes), and then making a nice BLT sandwich to warm up for your charcuterie spread, which you will enjoy after penning a letter to your grandmother on your personalized stationery.

Oh, and a tote bag to put it all in. Obviously. Has anyone checked to see if fellow vibey Montecito homeowner Gwyneth Paltrow is OK lately? These spreads are feeling a little Goopy if you know what I’m saying.

Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, are an intriguing side plot to the drama happening overseas with the British royal family they left dramatically in 2020. While the remaining working royals face medical turmoil, with the recent announcements of the cancer diagnoses of both King Charles III and Kate Middleton, Harry remains estranged from his brother Prince William, the next in line for the throne. Meghan launched the Instagram page for American Riviera Orchard, bearing a logo that looks an awful lot like a royal cypher, on March 14, the fourth anniversary of the day that the couple and their young son, Prince Archie, and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, secretly flew from Canada to Tyler Perry’s California home, thanks to an assist from none other than Oprah.

The Instagram account for American Riviera Orchard has already racked up more than a million followers, despite the lack of information, and has already inspired many copycats. Another former trademark application for the name “American Riviera,” abandoned in 2019, is also a reference to Meghan and Harry’s adopted hometown of Montecito, California, but that brand’s proposed offerings, primarily around vape pens, “herbs for smoking,” “tobacco alternatives,” and associated accoutrements, are somewhat different from what Meghan appears to have in mind.

Why is everyone talking about Meghan Markle’s backless dinner dress?

Meghan

Meghan was dressed to the nines for the occasion, wearing St. Agni’s ‘Hudson’ Asymmetric midi dress, which she accessorised with a pair of Dior earrings.

Meghan Markle looked as glamorous as ever in a stunning backless gown at a panel discussion and seated dinner hosted by her husband, the Duke of Sussex’s charitable organisation, Sentebale, in Miami over the weekend.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Sentebale ‘Potential is Waiting’ panel discussion and seated dinner at Zaytinya alongside Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina.

Prince Harry joined the panel, titled ‘Potential is Waiting’, to discuss solutions across the capital spectrum to meet the next generation in Southern Africa with possibility and action, according to the charity’s official website. The talk was followed by a seated dinner, at which Harry’s polo teammate and close friend Nacho Figueras was in attendance.

Taking to Instagram to mark the special evening, Nacho shared a series of photos, including one of Harry and Meghan engrossed in conversation with another guest at the dinner. “Thank you @grandchampionspoloclub @melissaganzi and Marc for this great night celebrating @sentebale,” penned Nacho.

The dinner came after Nacho and Prince Harry went head to head in a charity polo match on Friday. The pair competed in the Royal Salute Polo Challenge, which saw Harry’s team Sentebale win the day’s trophy.

Harry took to the field wearing a blue jersey and white riding pants for the two matches he was set to play in, showing off his polo prowess as the crowds cheered from the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Meghan dressed for the heat in a stylish ivory silk and hemp Heidi Merrick dress which retails for $515 and features a cut-out section. She paired the ensemble with a pair of Aquazzura heels, vintage Chanel jewellery and a Valentino purse. Meghan, who arrived with Nacho’s wife Delfina Blaquier, gave her husband a congratulatory kiss as she presented him with a trophy.

After the match, Nacho spoke to HELLO! in an exclusive interview, revealing the chances of Harry and Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, following in their father’s footsteps.  Asked if he’d like the royal children to play against his kids, he responded: “I hope so, I hope that Archie and Lili get to love horses as much as he does.”

Nacho went on: “There’s something about the outside of a horse that’s great for the inside of a human. Hopefully, that love and passion will be transmitted. I know my kids love it and they love to play. It would be a dream that one day we all get to play polo together.”

Meghan Markle admits she still looks for coupons when shopping online

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle has told how she’s a savvy shopper who hunts for promo codes while shopping, always.

Meghan Markle spoke of the importance of teaching young people financial literacy.

Meghan Markle has confessed that she doesn’t buy anything online without a promo code despite a combined net worth of £100m with her husband Prince Harry.

Despite her royal status, Meghan Markle has been candid about her thrifty tendencies when it comes to shopping online. While some might assume that being a member of the British royal family means unlimited spending power, Meghan has revealed that she still looks for coupons and discounts like any regular shopper.

Meghan Markle candidly told financial columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin how she tries to save money in her day-to-day working life. The mum-of-two and co-founder of Archewell revealed how she keeps costs down as she spoke to the podcast host and businesswoman Mellody Hobson.

The Duchess of Sussex said: “If it was ingrained at a young age to understand more about the stock market or have financial literacy how different that would put me out there, because even though I grew up clipping coupons and now that’s ingrained into me as well my values haven’t changed.”

It was then that Mr Sorkin intervened and asked Meghan: “Are you still clipping coupons?” The Duchess giggled and questioned whether coupons are still around before she admitted how she saves money. She added: “Well do they have coupons anymore I don’t know, but I will never buy anything online without finding an online promo code first so that’s still in there.

“It’s a modern version of the same thing but that’s to say that was ingrained in me when I was young then imagine what the world would be like if you ingrained other elements of financial understanding in young women that can move in the world in a different way.”

The Duchess also reflected on her childhood and spoke about how she used to make and sell hair scrunchies when she was around eight years old. “I would have my mum take me downtown to get the scraps of fabric from the fabric store and [I’d] sit there and knot them up and make them and say if I sold five, it was five bucks. “But I remember the feeling of knowing that I had invested in myself and I had done this labour and [had] been compensated for it.”

She went on to say how she felt a sense of “pride” and referenced her other two jobs of waiting tables and hosting. “That couple [of] $100 [£73] gives you a sense of not just purpose but a sense of self-satisfaction,” she added.

In a society that often glorifies excessive spending and materialism, Meghan’s frugality sets a positive example for people of all backgrounds

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s net worth has been revealed four years after their royal exit

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reside in a lavish mansion in Montecito, California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s mansion is reportedly worth $14 million (£11m), with the couple living close to the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and Katy Perry.

According to reports, the Sussexes have a combined net worth of $60 million (£48m), despite their stepping down from their roles as senior working royals in 2020 and being forced to repay the taxpayer costs for the renovation of Frogmore Cottage, their former Windsor home.

In May 2020, it was reported that the Duke and Duchess would repay taxpayer costs for the Frogmore Cottage renovations, with them planning to make the payments over the next decade. The total refurbishment costs were estimated at around £2.4 million, meaning they would pay around £18,000 a month until completely paid in full.

Since moving from England to the States, the couple have secured several lucrative deals. In 2020, the same year that they announced their royal departure, the couple signed a deal with Netflix which was reportedly worth around $100 million (£80m). They then secured a $20 million (£17m) advance from publisher Penguin Random House for a reported four-book deal, which included Spare.

The couple also signed a lucrative $25 million (£18m) deal with Spotify in late 2020, which saw Meghan Markle release her Archetypes podcast. A joint statement from the couple’s company, Archewell, and streaming platform Spotify said that they had “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together,” but later a Spotify executive branded the couple “f***ing grifters”.

The Sussexes’ many lucrative deals came in after announcing they were retiring from royal duties. When the couple were working royals they received 95% of their annual income from Harry’s father, the King. According to reports, The taxpayer-funded Sovereign Grant made up the other 5% of the Sussexes’ earnings. And when they stepped down as senior royals, King Charles gave them “a substantial sum”, according to reports.

Meanwhile, before Meghan Markle married into the British Royal Family, she was worth an estimated $5 million (£3.5m). Prior to meeting the Prince, Meghan was an actress working on the hit legal drama Suits. Meghan famously portrayed the role of Rachel Zane in the hit TV show, with her earning a reported $50,000 per episode (£37K).

According to reports around a trademark application, Meghan’s brand will sell: “Fragrance sachets; Lavender Sachets; Non-medicated skin care preparations; Bath and shower gels and salts…non-mediated hair preparations; Bath soap; Bar soap: Non-medicated hand soaps: Body creams: Bath oil: Body lotions: Cosmetics [and] Body Oil.”
