Royal reconciliation: Kate Middleton and William Invite Archie and Lilibet to the UK

Kate

Prince William and Kate Middleton have invited Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie and Lilibet, to the UK.

William and Kate have requested Harry and Meghan bring their children to visit the UK to mend the rift a royal expert claims.

Royal author Tom Quinn told the Mirror that William and Kate suggested the Sussexes bring their niece and nephew, Archie and Lilibet, to the UK but said that Meghan denied it. One of the major justifications for Meghan Markle to refuse could be the daunting presence of the media which would not provide them with privacy at all.

Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have been attempting to terminate the conflict with Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, The Daily Mirror has documented. According to a Royal expert, the Prince and the Princess of Wales have been pushing to settle the strained relationship.

Mr Quinn told the paper: “There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK. William and Kate have proposed that Meghan and Harry bring the children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not directed anywhere so far but might happen in the future.”

The reported proposition comes after Kate communicated her cancer diagnosis to the world on 22 March and there is speculation Harry will visit his brother in the UK when he hosts an event for the Invictus Games in May.

In other news, King Charles made his most significant public appearance since it was revealed that he had cancer on Sunday morning when he attended the Easter Mattins Service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The 75-year-old monarch then shocked spectators by waving to the assembled people. Later, they said that he “looked good” and was in “high spirits.”

King Charles’s grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, have not interacted with the Royal Family very often. May 6, 2019, saw the birth of Archie. Not long afterwards, on January 8, 2020, Harry and Meghan made public their contentious choice to resign from their royal responsibilities and relocate to the United States, a move that has come to be known as “Megxit”. Lilibet, named after the childhood name of Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, was born on June 4, 2021. Both Archie and Lilibet have dual citizenship in the UK and the US.

Archie and Lilibet missed Easter in the UK: Archie and Lilibet earlier missed the chance to meet their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Royal insider Tom Quinn had spoken about Harry-Meghan’s absence in this year’s Easter celebrations.

“What’s really going to upset Harry this year is that his children will miss out on the Easter egg hunt that takes place afterwards,” he told The Daily Mirror. “And, of course, it would’ve given Archie and Lillibet a chance to get to know George, Charlotte and Louis. The family rift is going to prevent this, and Harry will feel it keenly,” he added.

Honouring the Queen: 5 Ways Catherine and Prince William proudly follow in her footsteps

Kate

Kate and Prince William paused for a moment of reflection today, as they paid their respects to the late Queen, Elizabeth.

In the annals of the British monarchy, few relationships have captured the public’s imagination quite like the bond between Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton, and Prince William

As we approach what would have been Queen Elizabeth’s 98th birthday, it’s a time for reflection on the remarkable life and legacy of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch. From her steadfast dedication to duty to her unwavering commitment to service, Queen Elizabeth left an indelible mark on the royal family and the nation as a whole. In this tribute, we explore how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, proudly follow in the footsteps of the beloved Queen, embodying her values and continuing her legacy of grace and leadership.

1. Continuity of Duty: Kate and William’s acts reflect Queen Elizabeth’s constant dedication to her royal duties, for which she was well-known. The couple, who follow a strict schedule that includes both official engagements and charitable activities, exemplify the ethos of service that characterised the Queen’s reign. Kate and William execute their responsibilities with the same elegance and composure that defined Queen Elizabeth’s approach to monarchy, whether they are attending state occasions or giving visits to underprivileged communities.

2. Modernising the Monarchy: Queen Elizabeth was a strong supporter of many customs, but she also saw the value of adjusting to the present. In the same vein, Kate and William have embraced modernity and connected with younger people through internet platforms for public engagement. The couple shows that they are dedicated to modernising the monarchy without compromising its essential principles via their inventive outreach programmes, such as the Heads Together campaign that addresses mental health, and their active participation on social media.

3. Philanthropic Endeavours: Queen Elizabeth used her position to promote awareness of and support issues near and dear to her heart. She was a patron of several philanthropic organisations. Kate and William have followed in her footsteps and are now supporters of numerous humanitarian causes, including environmental preservation and mental health. The couple carries on Queen Elizabeth’s heritage of philanthropy and service through their engagement with institutions like The Royal Foundation and their charitable endeavours, such as the Heads Together campaign and the Earthshot Prize.

4. Family Values: Queen Elizabeth cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and placed a high value on family throughout her reign. William and Kate place a high value on family as well, building a strong relationship with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Like the Queen, they see the value of a strong, loving family unit that fosters growth and development in their kids.

5. Grace Under Pressure: Throughout her reign, Queen Elizabeth overcame many difficulties, including personal tragedies and political upheavals, yet she never wavered in her poise or dignity. As well-known members of the royal family, Kate and William have also faced their fair share of difficulties, but they have persevered and handled these difficulties with dignity. The duo is unwavering in their dedication to duty and service, whether they are juggling their hectic schedules or dealing with public scrutiny.

Prince William’s latest sacrifice proves his loyalty to Kate is stronger than ever

Kate

In the realm of love and loyalty, Prince William’s latest gesture towards Kate Middleton shines as a beacon of devotion.

Prince William’s relentless commitment to Kate Middleton has once again captured hearts worldwide.

Juggling royal obligations, personal hurdles, and the endless public spotlight, Prince William has shown us yet again his extraordinary strength and unwavering loyalty, especially towards his wife, Kate Middleton.

In the face of recent health challenges hitting close to home, with both his father and wife battling cancer, William’s made a choice to miss a significant event that truly emphasises his dedication — not just as a companion, but as a key figure of the British royal family.

Prince William has reportedly decided to skip the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa, which King Charles still plans on attending.

An insider disclosed to Express, “Attending the CHOGM is not something William can take on at this time due to Kate’s health, and although Anne and other working royals are doing a fantastic job stepping in to plug the gaps at home, they are not viewed as high level enough to represent the sovereign as leader of the Commonwealth.”

While this might appear like a miniature gesture to some, those who comprehend the weight of such events know it’s a big deal. CHOGM isn’t just any meeting; it’s a key moment where leaders from across the Commonwealth come jointly to discuss major global issues and strategies for cooperation. Other royal family members, like Princess Anne and Prince Edward, won’t be heading to the event either, as their roles aren’t considered senior enough.

The shock of Middleton’s cancer diagnosis threw the royal couple into unknown waters. Prince William originally felt “helpless and scared.” Despite these underwhelming emotions, William has stayed dedicated to his wife’s side, assisting with their children and being a constant source of comfort.

The strain of these health battles has also led to an unexpected development within the royal family. Prince William and Queen Camilla have reportedly formed a “tender relationship” amidst the crisis, united in their roles as caregivers to their spouses.

Kate Middleton’s “I’m in control” remark to William goes viral

Kate Middleton

Prince William and Kate have become the focus of increased public attention since the beginning of 2024.

First when it was reported that Princess Kate had undergone abdominal surgery in January.

And then again in the build-up to and aftermath of her statement in March that she is undergoing preventive chemotherapy following a cancer diagnosis. An old Kate Middleton’s “I’m in control” remark to William has been featured in a new viral video after a compilation of clips captured throughout the couple’s 13-year marriage has been uploaded by lovers to the social media site TikTok.

Kate has not made any official public appearances so far this year and in the absence of any new images or events, fans have taken to social media to reflect and repost content from past years.

Uploaded to TikTok by user helensmccrory, on April 1, a compilation of clips displaying light-hearted moments between William and Kate has won compliments from fans, and being viewed over half a million times on the platform so far.

Highlighted in the video is a comic exchange between the couple during a rappelling teambuilding activity on a 2015 visit to Wales. The prince and princess visited the Towers Residential Outdoor Education Centre connected with William’s role as patron of the Mountain Rescue England and Wales organization.

During the visit, William—who not only trained with the British Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy but is also a trained Air Ambulance first responder—put his rappelling skills to the test with his wife operating as an anchor, charged with the role as a counterbalance, letting him down a steep incline slowly.

As the prince descended, Kate teased her husband in a moment caught by the news cameras covering the event. “How much do you love me?” she joked, holding his supporting rope. “Are you ok?” she added, to which William responded: “You’re holding me!” “I quite enjoy this actually,” Kate said. “For once I’m in control.”

Also comprised in the viral compilation is an outtake from the couple’s video introduction to their official YouTube channel. “You have to be careful what you say now because these guys, they’re filming everything,” William joked in an off-guarded moment. Captioned “I love when they’re in their silly little moods,” the TikTok video has received over 41,000 likes and over 140 comments, many of which have praised the royal couple.
