Prince William’s most frequently used emoji has a double meaning

Prince William

Prince William revealed his most-used emoji during a radio show alongside his wife, Catherine…and it’s kinda surprising fans!

Why? Well, the 41-year-old royal, Prince William, revealed that his most-used emoji is one with a sexual undertone that is often used during more explicit convos.

The Prince and Princess of Wales made a charming appearance on BBC’s Radio 1 “Going Home” show, while in Birmingham. During the show, hosts Jordan North and Vick Hope decided to lighten the mood by asking the royal couple about their most-used emojis.

Prince William, showing his playful side, initially revealed that his go-to emoji was the aubergine, known to Americans as the eggplant. Amid laughter from the hosts, William playfully questioned whether this choice was appropriate for a family audience. He then jokingly changed his answer, opting for the emoji with eyes going up and down and a mouth out, emphasizing his commitment to being “all grown up.”

In contrast, Princess Kate shared a more reserved choice, citing the heart with the crying emoji. Her explanation was endearing, describing it as the perfect expression for “hysterical laughing” when things go awry. The royal couple’s emoji preferences provided a lighthearted glimpse into their playful personalities.

Post-interview, the radio hosts were clearly delighted by William’s unexpected revelation. North enthusiastically exclaimed, “He said the aubergine emoji, this is brilliant!” Meanwhile, Hope playfully teased that the future king of England might have “a dirty mind,” adding to the jovial atmosphere of the show.

This royal emoji discussion brought to mind previous revelations about Prince Harry’s emoji usage. In the 2020 book “Finding Freedom” by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, it was disclosed that Prince Harry favoured the ghost emoji in his texts.

The authors noted that Harry’s messages were often short and filled with emojis, particularly opting for the ghost instead of a traditional smiley face. Meghan Markle reportedly found his texting style amusing and adorable, adding a personal touch to their digital communication.

King Charles III

Exclusive insider’s perspective: Prince William’s thoughts on King Charles’ abdication revealed

When it comes to the British royals, speculation monarch’s abdication and who will ascend to the throne is never-ending.

In the ever-evolving landscape of British royalty, the notion of abdication isn’t just a plot point in historical dramas—it’s a topic that often stirs speculation and intrigue.

With King Charles III currently ruling, all eyes naturally turn to Prince William, the Prince of Wales and next in line. While some may entertain the idea of King Charles abdicating in favour of his son, Prince William, there are compelling reasons why Prince William may not wish for such a scenario to unfold.

Here are 5 reasons given by the royal expert, Abhishek Singh Bisht, why Prince William would never want King Charles to abdicate the British throne.

Duty and tradition: Prince William was grown with a profound sense of duty and regard for tradition infused in him from a very young age. As the future King of England, he understands the significance of responsibility that comes with the crown and may feel a strong duty to fulfil his role when the time comes.

Abdication could be perceived as undermining his father’s reign and legacy, something Prince William may be unwilling to do.

Stability and continuity: A soft transition of power is essential for the stability and continuity of the monarchy. Prince William may acknowledge the significance of keeping the established order and may prefer to wait for his turn to ascend the throne rather than disrupt the succession process.

Training and preparation: Prince William may believe that he needs more time to complete the required coursework and training to adequately fill his future duties. Becoming King is not an easy feat. He can lose out on important experience and preparation if he abstains.

Public perception: The monarchy was revered especially by the British people, and any change to the established succession plan was certain to cause controversy and sway popular opinion. Prince William might put upholding social standards above all else to preserve stability and popular support.

Family Dynamics: There is a complicated web of ties and family dynamics that the royal family must navigate. Abdication may cause internal conflicts and disrupt ties within the family. Prince William may put maintaining family harmony and togetherness above all else.

Prince William

Have you seen Prince William’s jaw-dropping full beard in this partying photo with Kate?

Have you ever wondered what the future king, Prince William, would look like in a full beard?

The Prince of Wales briefly rocked a full face of facial hair before he was asked to shave it off.

Prince William has been clean-shaven since his twenties, but that hasn’t always been the case for the Prince of Wales, who proudly rocked a full beard for a brief moment in 2008. Most royal fans will have seen the now-famous photograph of a bearded Prince William at Sandringham on Christmas Day in 2008 after it reemerged on social media.

Prince Harry was the first to sport a beard on his wedding day to Meghan Markle after receiving formal permission from his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Writing of the moment his facial hair caused tension with his brother, however, Harry revealed William offered a “bristled” response to his polite request. “Not the done thing, he [William] said. Military rules, and so forth.”

Harry wrote in his book Spare” that his brother “wouldn’t let it go” and that the disagreement continued “in person, on the phone, for more than a week” before William admitted that his grievance with Harry’s facial hair was because he wasn’t allowed to keep his.

Harry added: “Ah, there it was. After he’d come back from an assignment with Special Forces, Willy was sporting a full beard, and someone told him to be a good boy, run along and shave it. He hated the idea of me enjoying a perk he’d been denied.”

Prince William’s albeit brief encounter with facial hair in the noughties defines a playful and coming-of-age era of the royal’s life. He had only recently graduated from St Andrews University, had rekindled with a young Kate Middleton after their high-profile split, and was just about to serve on attachment to the Royal Air Force.

Prince William and Kate going to a party in 2008

In unearthed photographs captured from 2008, Prince William and Princess Kate, who was then just the royal’s girlfriend, were seen leaving the darkly glamorous Whisky Mist nightclub. William looks almost unrecognisable in the photos as he rocks a full, bushy beard.

Reports at the time reveal that Kate had gone for a dinner date with her sister Pippa Middleton at ‘Eight Over Eight’ restaurant in Chelsea. Kate then arrived at Whiskey Mist just after midnight for a night of dancing with her boyfriend Prince William.

Given the Prince of Wales’ more senior role in the Firm, it seems unlikely we’ll ever see him with a beard again – but these photos certainly serve up some noughties nostalgia…

Royal expert explains how Prince William is fulfilling parenting duties while Kate recovers

Prince William and Kate

Prince William ‘is not at all fazed’ by full-time parenting duties while his wife, Kate, recovers in hospital.

Prince William proves his prowess as a ‘hands-on’ dad, confidently caring for George, Charlotte, and Louis.

The Prince of Wales, Prince William, is a contemporary, “hands-on” dad who “won’t be daunted” by the possibility of taking care of his three young children full time, while his wife Kate remains in hospital following her major surgery. A source who knows the Wales family well exclusively told THE ROYAL UK that Prince William is more than capable of solo parenting.

He is already well used to dropping the children – at Lambrook School in Bracknell. “He is a regular at the school gate and events and he’s very hands-on as a dad, so being in charge while Kate is away won’t faze him,” the source said. “They often do things as a full family unit and he’s very confident looking after the kids.

“Everyone was very stunned and concerned when they heard about Kate’s health. The Lambrook parents are a close-knit group and William and Kate have become part of it, so I’m certain their class groups will be rallying around to offer any help they can.”

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, also told THE ROYAL UK: “William is extremely supportive as a husband. It’s pretty uncommon for the Prince of Wales to cancel meetings because his wife isn’t well – that undoubtedly wouldn’t have happened in the past – but he’s a modern man whose family is more important to him than anything else.”

Prince William and Kate live in a four-bedroom property, Adelaide Cottage, on the Windsor royal estate. They used to have a live-in nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, when they lived at Kensington Palace but since downsizing in 2022, Maria – who has worked for the royals since Prince George was eight months old – lives out of the family home, but remains a constant helping hand.

Prince William can also, sometimes, depend on Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton, who live in Bucklebury village about a 40-minute drive away, to help with the children.  Carole and Pippa Middleton have been visiting Kate in the hospital frequently since surgery. Nonetheless, the Prince’s presence at home will be essential and it’s comprehended that he will be taking a step back from public royal duties while his wife continues with her recovery at home.

Kate is anticipated to leave the hospital later this month and return home to Windsor, although she’ll be out of action until at least Easter. The Princess had major surgery on her abdominal area and while the planned operation was a success, a long recuperation awaits her.
